Nandeta Foundation was born from the mission to restore the first bridge in Tangkahan. Our work extends beyond repairing the span itself; we strengthened its foundation and introduced a thoughtful drainage system to protect the land from future erosion caused by increasing upstream development.

Through our hands-on workshops, we teach the process of transforming household fruit waste into eco enzyme, a natural solution that supports cleaning, gardening, and water restoration. Three months later, we continue with a follow-up program focused on harvesting, refining, and creating eco enzyme–based cleaners, soaps, and household products that families can use or sell. What begins as fruit peels becomes education, livelihood, and environmental healing.

Together with the people of Tangkahan, we have begun restoring a tradition once mastered by previous generations: cultivating coffee in harmony with the forest. By donating 1000 coffee plants, establishing a dedicated nursery for reforestation seedlings, and piloting an agroforestry replanting initiative, we honor ancestral knowledge while creating sustainable livelihoods for the future.

With the women of Tangkahan, we are nurturing a new chapter of locally made products that honor both tradition and innovation. From soaps crafted with eco enzyme to herbal oils inspired by ancestral remedies, and handwoven crafts rooted in cultural identity, this initiative aims to create meaningful livelihoods guided by the knowledge already living in their hands. Though still in development, the groundwork is being laid with intention and care.

Our vision is to restore Tangkahan to its former glory: where forests thrived, rivers ran clear, and people lived in balance with the land. Through Namo Tangkahan Eco Village, we aim to reverse ecological damage by empowering the community, rewilding land, and building a truly circular waste system. Together, we hope to create a living example of harmony between nature and humankind.
